梅毒螺旋體抗體陽性加號通常表明就是在被檢測者的標本當(dāng)中檢測到了梅毒螺旋體的抗體，通常就可以確診，患者是感染了梅毒。梅毒是梅毒螺旋體感染所引起的一種常見的慢性性傳播疾病。人體感染梅毒螺旋體之后，一方面是產(chǎn)生各種臨床癥狀，另一方后面是血液當(dāng)中，由于免疫系統(tǒng)反應(yīng)產(chǎn)生針對梅毒螺旋體的各種抗體，主要可以分為特異性抗體和非特異性抗體。
一般說的梅毒螺旋體抗體陽性，也就是加號，通常指特異性的梅毒抗體，梅毒特異性的抗體，是梅毒感染所特有的，正常人還有一些其他疾病的患者，他血液當(dāng)中都不可能有抗體，所以出現(xiàn)了梅毒螺旋體抗體陽性或者是加號，就表明在患者血液當(dāng)中查到了特異性的抗體，就可以確定患者確實是感染了梅毒螺旋體。
當(dāng)然，單憑抗體，還不能夠區(qū)分患者是現(xiàn)癥感染還是既往感染，是否需要治療，需要結(jié)合梅毒另外一類抗體，也就是非特異性的梅毒抗體來綜合判斷，如果是非特異性抗體，也是陽性，而且滴度比較高，表明患者屬于限制梅毒，目前病情的活動性比較強，傳染性也比較強，就需要進行規(guī)范的驅(qū)梅治療，并且治療之后要定期的隨訪復(fù)查，直到非特異性抗體轉(zhuǎn)陰才能真正的判定梅毒是治愈了。
