龜頭炎會(huì)傳染給女方，會(huì)互相傳染。尤其是急性淺表性龜頭炎、念珠菌性龜頭炎、滴蟲性龜頭炎多數(shù)是生殖系統(tǒng)不衛(wèi)生導(dǎo)致的，一方感染很容易傳染給對方。主要見于性生活活躍的中青年，感染菌通常與性伴侶細(xì)菌性陰道病的菌株一致，確診后需要夫妻同治。
診斷主要依據(jù)臨床表現(xiàn)，結(jié)合病原學(xué)和病理檢查，如念珠菌感染引起者，病變部位取材直接鏡檢和培養(yǎng)可找到念珠菌。保持局部的清潔，避免各種刺激，每日清洗龜頭和包皮。避免不潔性交，治療期間暫停性生活，少吃辛辣刺激性食物，忌煙酒。全身性抗菌藥應(yīng)根據(jù)病原體和藥物敏感性試驗(yàn)選用針對性的藥物。包皮過長或包莖導(dǎo)致包皮龜頭炎反復(fù)發(fā)作者，應(yīng)在炎癥消退后行包皮環(huán)切術(shù)。
