視網(wǎng)膜脫落的治療主要手段是手術(shù)治療，根據(jù)視網(wǎng)膜脫離的范圍和類型選擇手術(shù)方式，有外路和內(nèi)路手術(shù)兩種，外路手術(shù)包括鞏膜外冷凍，鞏膜外硅膠墊壓和硅膠帶環(huán)扎術(shù)，內(nèi)路手術(shù)包括玻璃體切割，球內(nèi)填充硅油或惰性氣體，球內(nèi)視網(wǎng)膜光凝等。視網(wǎng)膜脫離手術(shù)治療的效果有兩個(gè)目標(biāo)，一個(gè)是視網(wǎng)膜形態(tài)上復(fù)位，通過手術(shù)一般都能做到。
另一個(gè)目標(biāo)是視力恢復(fù)，取決于視網(wǎng)膜脫離的范圍是否累及黃斑，脫離的時(shí)間，患者年齡等多個(gè)因素。視網(wǎng)膜脫離累及黃斑區(qū)的，視網(wǎng)膜脫離時(shí)間過長(zhǎng)的以及年齡大的患者術(shù)后視力恢復(fù)較差。如果患者年齡不太大，脫離范圍未累及黃斑，脫離時(shí)間在一個(gè)月內(nèi)，是有希望通過合適的手術(shù)恢復(fù)一定的視力的。
