坐月子是中國人針對產(chǎn)后一個月之內(nèi)，產(chǎn)婦進(jìn)行體力恢復(fù)和營養(yǎng)補(bǔ)給的過程，是非常好的一個習(xí)俗。從產(chǎn)科的角度講，妊娠分娩以后，女性的機(jī)體在妊娠期間的代償變化一般在產(chǎn)后六周左右的時間達(dá)到恢復(fù)，通過四十二天后的復(fù)診，來看女性整個身體的狀態(tài)是不是恢復(fù)到非孕期的狀態(tài)。
由此可見，整個妊娠和分娩對于女性都是一個很大的負(fù)擔(dān)，甚至可能造成一定的器官損傷，都有一個恢復(fù)和修復(fù)的過程，所以產(chǎn)后六周，四十二天之內(nèi)不建議同房。從總體建議來講，建議產(chǎn)后六周以后同房，但要做好避孕措施。
