男性性功能障礙是指無力維持滿意的性生活，可能涉及性欲障礙、勃起功能障礙、射精及性高潮障礙。男子性活動(dòng)是一個(gè)復(fù)雜的生理過程，要通過一系列的條件反射和非條件反射來完成。性活動(dòng)包括性欲、陰莖勃起、性交、射精和性高潮五個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，其中任一環(huán)節(jié)發(fā)生障礙而影響正常的性功能時(shí)，即稱為男性性功能障礙。
性欲是指在適當(dāng)?shù)拇碳は掳l(fā)生要進(jìn)行性交的欲望，即在一定的刺激下引起了性興奮。對(duì)性欲的判斷難有一個(gè)統(tǒng)一的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。因?yàn)槊繉?duì)夫婦之間的個(gè)性、體質(zhì)、感情、生活經(jīng)驗(yàn)與環(huán)境均有很大不同，難以相互比較。
正常的成年人出現(xiàn)與年齡不相適應(yīng)，不和諧的性欲減退，稱為性欲低下。表現(xiàn)為無主動(dòng)的性要求，在任何刺激的情況下對(duì)性交無興趣。
