適用于虛癥、寒癥以及陰癥等病癥。艾灸它是利用艾絨等藥物燃燒、灼燙或者熏熨人體穴位為主要形式的一種療法。它在臨床上主要適用于虛癥、寒癥以及陰癥等病癥，它可以治療針刺、藥物所取得的效果并不明顯的一些疾病。在臨床治療中，艾灸也有一些禁忌的情況，針對(duì)孕婦的腰骶部是禁止施灸的；針對(duì)顏面部、會(huì)陰以及大血管走行的部位，禁止實(shí)行瘢痕灸；對(duì)于有嚴(yán)重的心腦血管疾病、中風(fēng)閉癥、熱毒熾盛的病癥以及高血壓危象、嚴(yán)重的肺結(jié)核晚期患者，都不建議采取艾灸治療；針對(duì)于出血、咳血以及皮膚有破損或者有嚴(yán)重的感染性疾病或者傳染性疾病，也不建議患者采用艾灸治療；針對(duì)于陰虛內(nèi)盛或者內(nèi)熱熾盛的病人，在治療階段、在病癥階段，也不建議患者采用艾灸治療。
