無論男女，得了甲亢是可以根治的。甲亢有三種治療方法：
第一、抗甲狀腺藥物治療，包括甲巰咪唑和丙基硫氧嘧啶兩種藥；
第二、放射性碘治療，用放射性碘131治療甲亢；
第三、手術(shù)治療。
藥物治療應(yīng)用最多，效果較好。如果用藥之后出現(xiàn)過敏，或者白細(xì)胞減少甚至肝功能損害等情況，就需要放射性碘治療。手術(shù)治療在臨床中相對應(yīng)用很少，這三種治療都能達(dá)到甲亢治愈、根治的目的。
但是甲亢的藥物治療很容易復(fù)發(fā)，復(fù)發(fā)之后再用藥往往仍然有效。
