乳腺腫瘤引起的原因，實(shí)際是很多方面的，如從基因的角度來(lái)說(shuō)，可能是癌基因和抑癌基因的失平衡，即癌基因被激活，抑癌基因相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō)被抑制，引起乳腺腫瘤細(xì)胞的過(guò)度生長(zhǎng)，造成乳腺腫瘤。
從誘因方面來(lái)說(shuō)，乳腺腫瘤跟體內(nèi)的雌激素水平是相關(guān)的，長(zhǎng)期高水平的雌激素，會(huì)引起乳腺腫瘤，以及乳腺腫瘤的持續(xù)增長(zhǎng)。其他有相關(guān)的因素，如經(jīng)期時(shí)間長(zhǎng)、體內(nèi)雌激素的水平高、月經(jīng)來(lái)的早、絕經(jīng)晚，以及大齡的女性未婚、未育，或產(chǎn)后未哺乳。
另一方面乳腺腫瘤跟遺傳有一定相關(guān)性。從治療角度來(lái)說(shuō)，亦應(yīng)該多角度的去考慮。
