心通口服液是治療冠心病、心絞痛的常用藥。具有益氣活血、化痰通絡(luò)的良好功效。用于氣陰兩虛、痰瘀痹阻所致的胸痹，癥狀如心痛、胸悶、氣短、納呆，冠心病、心絞痛見上述證候者。
現(xiàn)代醫(yī)學中的冠心病及心絞痛，在中醫(yī)理論中為痹癥，不論是寒邪內(nèi)侵，胸陽不振，外寒趁虛而入，陰寒凝滯，脈絡(luò)痹阻而導(dǎo)致的胸痹，還是飲食失調(diào)，濕聚成痰所致的胸痹，或由正氣虧損，調(diào)理失當，腎陽疲憊而發(fā)的胸痹，心通口服液都有良好效果。
而其他疾病出現(xiàn)胸悶、胸痛、氣短、喘息、自汗等癥，心通口服液均可緩解，是中老年心血管病患者的常用藥物。
