感染乙肝病毒以后，表現(xiàn)為肝功轉(zhuǎn)氨酶的升高，甚至出現(xiàn)黃疸，但是經(jīng)過治療，病毒能夠徹底清除。病人感染以后呈現(xiàn)慢性的病情經(jīng)過，表現(xiàn)為乙肝病毒攜帶狀態(tài)，攜帶者往往病毒不能夠徹底清除，也就是說不能夠自愈。
但是在成年人，免疫功能比較健全的情況下，有些人感染了乙肝病毒，自發(fā)的通過自身的免疫功能，免疫防御功能就把病毒徹底清除了，并且產(chǎn)生了表面抗體。這種現(xiàn)象在臨床上也是比較多見的，有的時候檢測兩對半，發(fā)現(xiàn)病人表面抗體陽性、e抗體陽性、核心抗體陽性，這就是感染過乙肝病毒，自己又把病毒清除了。
