在手術(shù)之后通常還需要進(jìn)行放療，殺死主體瘤灶周圍的向正常腦組織內(nèi)浸潤的腫瘤細(xì)胞。在放療結(jié)束之后，一般還需要是用4到6個(gè)療程的替莫唑胺的輔助化療。
通過手術(shù)和放、化療的綜合治療方案，大部分的膠質(zhì)瘤的患者能得到比較滿意的控制。
