因為肺動脈壓力增高了，影響右心射血，就會表現(xiàn)為循環(huán)血量的減少，出現(xiàn)呼吸困難。當肺動脈壓力非常高，影響了循環(huán)血量的情況下，甚至會出現(xiàn)低血壓的狀態(tài)，甚至會出現(xiàn)休克。
長期的肺動脈高壓可能會導致肺血管結(jié)構(gòu)的改變，甚至會形成大量的側(cè)枝循環(huán)。而這些側(cè)枝循環(huán)都是扭曲的、畸形的血管，就很容易咯血?；颊叻窝h(huán)血量減少，氧合也會存在問題，所以會出現(xiàn)嘴唇呈藍紫色，出現(xiàn)紫紺的體征。
