腦癱的后遺癥是指因早產(chǎn)、難產(chǎn)、窒息、缺氧、腦出血和黃疸、高燒等原因?qū)е碌男耗X發(fā)育不良所致的癥狀，包括肢體的、語言功能的、智力功能的、聽力功能多方面的障礙。運動的障礙直接導(dǎo)致了患兒運動的不能或者是精細運動的受損。語言發(fā)育和智力發(fā)育是平行的，多數(shù)的患兒不能夠進行正常的交流，進而就出現(xiàn)了明顯的智力低下，這也是腦癱患兒最嚴重的危害之一。
其他的表現(xiàn)如癲癇，患兒可能會出現(xiàn)反復(fù)的驚厥，加重腦損傷，也會加重運動和智力發(fā)育、語言發(fā)育的障礙。因此一旦患兒出現(xiàn)腦癱，影響是多方面的，也是多系統(tǒng)的。
