三叉神經(jīng)痛首選的藥物是卡馬西平，一般70%的患者都能夠達到治愈的水平，卡馬西平也有一定的副作用，會出現(xiàn)眩暈、嗜睡，或者出現(xiàn)齒齦增生、皮膚粗糙、粒細胞減少等；患者不能耐受時，也可以選擇苯妥英鈉，同時可以配合營養(yǎng)神經(jīng)藥物，比如腺苷鈷胺、甲鈷胺或者維生素B1口服或者肌注，配合于中醫(yī)中藥治療都可以達到治療的水平。
如果上述藥物不能夠夠緩解患者疼痛，或者患者不能耐受時，可以采取外科的手術(shù)治療，比如三叉神經(jīng)半月結(jié)的封閉治療、三叉神經(jīng)半月節(jié)經(jīng)頻射頻熱凝治療、采取微血管的減壓手術(shù)治療等。
