發(fā)現(xiàn)了肛門直腸息肉，首先應(yīng)當(dāng)明確息肉的性質(zhì)，取病理，明確病變是管狀腺瘤，還是炎性的息肉，或者是其它性質(zhì)的息肉，然后再采取相應(yīng)的處理措施。建議有直腸息肉的患者，尤其是有家族病史的人，做全結(jié)腸的腸鏡，電子腸鏡的檢查。
很多情況下發(fā)現(xiàn)直腸里有息肉，結(jié)腸里可能也會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)息肉，甚至有很多息肉，應(yīng)當(dāng)除外其他部位的息肉。另外根據(jù)息肉的多少、大小，采用不同的治療方法，有的息肉很小，但是成片，可以用氬氣電凝的方法擰掉，如果有蒂的息肉可以做結(jié)扎，比較大的息肉應(yīng)當(dāng)做完整的切除。
