喉嚨發(fā)炎期間不能吃辛辣刺激、性熱助火和冰冷的食物。
飲食要盡量清淡，不要吃容易上火的牛羊肉，尤其是烤串類的各種咸、寒、油膩食品，如腌制的咸魚，螃蟹，甜食等，更不能吃辛辣刺激性、油炸食物，會刺激局部的粘膜，使咽部出現(xiàn)不適，加重咽喉炎的癥狀。
洋蔥、狗肉、羊肉或桂圓、荔枝等容易灼傷津液的食物，使咽喉干燥，不利于咽喉炎的恢復；急性咽喉炎期間不要吃過燙、過硬的食物。
咽喉疼痛癥狀比較明顯，可以用冰袋在頸部進行冷敷。冰冷食物當時可能短暫改善癥狀，但是過后癥狀可能會加重，對治療并沒有太多的好處，一般不主張進食。
