強直性脊柱炎是慢性疾病，如果不經(jīng)過治療會有很多不良后果。強直性脊柱炎會出現(xiàn)關節(jié)功能受限，包括髖關節(jié)、骶髂關節(jié)和中軸關節(jié)。如果患者有髖關節(jié)受累，髖關節(jié)的結構就會損壞，出現(xiàn)關節(jié)功能喪失；如果患者有骶髂關節(jié)受累，會出現(xiàn)骶髂關節(jié)活動受限，走路姿勢僵硬；如果出現(xiàn)腰椎以及胸椎表現(xiàn)，會導致腰椎活動度下降，患者腰椎不能前屈、不能側彎；如果出現(xiàn)頸椎受累，患者不能正常的頭頸部運動，包括扭頭、低頭都會受限；
如果患者有眼部受累，主要累積到葡萄膜炎，患者會有疼痛、畏光、流淚表現(xiàn)。
