一旦出現(xiàn)頭暈，首先要判明自己是眩暈發(fā)作還是頭暈。如果頭暈的患者看到周圍在天旋地轉(zhuǎn)或者是在晃動，有傾斜感或者是閉上眼睛覺得自己在轉(zhuǎn)、在晃動，在傾斜感，這是眩暈。有的時候眩暈發(fā)作厲害，但是可能問題不大，如果伴有惡心、嘔吐、面色蒼白、大汗淋漓，往往是耳鼻喉科疾病，這種情況反而不那么危險。
如果頭暈看東西不轉(zhuǎn)，或者看東西有雙影或者說話不清楚，手腳活動不好或者是突然間雙下肢無力，這種提示有后循環(huán)的缺血即腦干的前庭神經(jīng)核受累。這種情況往往提示病人的病情比較重，需要趕緊去醫(yī)院進行檢查和治療。
