急性冠周炎實(shí)際上就是牙齒冠周軟組織的急性炎癥，一般是智齒的冠周炎，包括下頜智齒和上頜智齒，其他牙位比較少見。
冠周炎早期并沒有全身癥狀，只是感覺患側(cè)后牙區(qū)脹痛不適。然后炎癥進(jìn)一步發(fā)展，會(huì)出現(xiàn)局部疼痛明顯加重，張口運(yùn)動(dòng)、吞咽、咀嚼的時(shí)候疼痛更加明顯?？梢愿杏X有咸味液體從冠周軟組織里面流出，如果冠周炎癥刺激了周圍的咀嚼肌群，可以造成咀嚼肌的痙攣，造成不同程度的張口受限。
冠周炎的處理一般是主張把智齒拔除。
