萎縮性胃炎是否嚴(yán)重，要根據(jù)具體情況來判斷。
萎縮性胃炎根據(jù)萎縮的程度分為沒有萎縮、輕度萎縮、中度萎縮和重度萎縮。輕、中、重的區(qū)分也是根據(jù)固有腺體減少的程度。如果減少1/3，就叫輕度萎縮。如果減少2/3，就叫中度萎縮。如果幾乎都沒有減少，腺體幾乎都消失，就叫重度萎縮。
輕度萎縮和中度萎縮相對(duì)于重度萎縮要輕，重度萎縮會(huì)同時(shí)伴有一些其他的癌前病變表現(xiàn)。比如出現(xiàn)腸化生或者異型增生，所以對(duì)于重度萎縮一定要重視。但是患上萎縮性胃炎也不要驚慌，因?yàn)槟壳暗囊恍┲委煼椒?，萎縮性胃炎能夠逆轉(zhuǎn)。
