對于嚴重的焦慮癥，建議患者可以進行中西醫(yī)相結合的治療方法。
因為重度的焦慮癥患者，一定要采取西藥治療為基礎。但是，西藥治療也會出現(xiàn)一定的問題，比如使用西藥治療重度的焦慮癥，患者可能會出現(xiàn)一些副作用，有些病人會出現(xiàn)難以耐受副作用的情況。而且還有個別的病人，對于西藥的療效并不會很滿意。
如果在使用西藥治療重度焦慮癥的同時，再加上中醫(yī)的治療，一方面中西合璧治療重度焦慮癥，在治療的效果上，能夠起到1+1大于2的作用，也就是能夠增強藥物的療效。另一方面，通過中西醫(yī)相結合的治療方法，來治療重度焦慮癥，還可以減少西藥的副作用。
