脂肪肉瘤的發(fā)病原因，尚不完全清楚。目前認(rèn)為，可能是脂肪母細(xì)胞來源以及腫瘤干細(xì)胞來源等。導(dǎo)致脂肪肉瘤發(fā)生的原因有很多，脂肪肉瘤的出現(xiàn)，與生活、飲食等各方面密切相關(guān)，但是通常認(rèn)為是由基因突變引起。而且，還與環(huán)境因素、遺傳因素、情緒因素、營養(yǎng)狀況等有相關(guān)性。腫瘤通常發(fā)生在深軟組織中，少數(shù)出現(xiàn)在皮下組織，在真皮中很少發(fā)生，可發(fā)生在不存在成熟脂肪細(xì)胞組織的區(qū)域。
脂肪肉瘤的分類較為復(fù)雜，如高分化型脂肪肉瘤、多形性脂肪肉瘤、粘液性脂肪肉瘤以及混合型脂肪肉瘤等。脂肪肉瘤的好發(fā)部位，大多數(shù)為患者的四肢、腹膜后等部位。一般來說，對于脂肪肉瘤患者的治療方式，主要是以手術(shù)治療為主。大多數(shù)的脂肪肉瘤患者，對于放化療，不太敏感。
