汞中毒危害性主要表現(xiàn)于：消化道異常、皮膚受損、精神異常等，導(dǎo)致身體多個器官、組織發(fā)生病變，影響情緒。
1、消化道異常
汞中毒可引起牙齒松動、口腔黏膜潰爛、牙齦腫脹等癥狀；口服中毒則引起粘液便、腹部疼痛等消化道癥狀。嚴(yán)重時可合并胃腸穿孔，引起腹膜炎；失水多過多可造成暫時性休克。
2、皮膚受損
汞中毒2~3天內(nèi)皮膚會逐漸出現(xiàn)紅斑，紅斑從頭部、面部、四肢逐漸向身體其他各個部位蔓延。紅斑之間相互融合形成潰瘍，導(dǎo)致全身淋巴結(jié)腫大，嚴(yán)重時形成剝脫性皮炎。
3、精神異常
汞中毒患者多伴有食欲下降、全身乏力，同時伴有失眠、多夢、頭痛等癥狀；女性則已伴有月經(jīng)失調(diào)、情緒、性格發(fā)生變化，性格膽小害羞、消極抑郁、行為怪癖、易激怒、喜怒無常。
